This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     to up grade my Aser aspire 7720 to one of the new i7 cpu and hard drive to one with a 7400 rpm

    No go with the i7, or anything faster than an 800MHz FSB Socket P processor, but you can almost certainly use any standard 2.5" SATA hard drive in the machine, 7200RPM or not.
