    Are there any sort of peripheral accessories that can be used to mimic some of the functionality of a tablet pc. Like be able to write free hand notes and diagrams? If there are such accesories could you please recommend some decent ones? Thanks in advance!!

    Wacom makes awesome writing tablets, but they are quite pricey.

    For art use, suhc as PhotoShop, etc. it comes in very handy!

    yes my school CDT department has them. I have used them. They are very accurate.
