How can I colse this? Since it's already a 128Mb individual memory. So I do not think it's useful for a 384Mb share memory.
    My note book IBM T60
And, is there anyway to update my video card. I would like X1600.
    Thanks.

The site below suggest turning it off via the registry.

Edit - There's also an old thread in the forums that guides in turning off hypermemory using ATi Tray tools

And no. Notebook graphic card cannot be updated. You're pretty much stuck with X1400 unless you buy a laptop with X1600. http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3056&guide=Graphics+Card+Guide+2006

A word of caution, turning hypermemory off and on might cause your existing games to crash.

Hypermemory doesnt take away from the ram during normal windows use. During gaming it can use the extra memory in the ram but does this only when it needs it.
Why do you want to disable it?

I'm guessing because that extra 384mb of ram will do more good as system ram than graphics ram. Unless he is playing at insane resolutions, that extra amount of ram will not help, especially since it's shared ram, which is absolutely CRAP. Now if this extra 384mb of ram was dedicated, then yes I'd say it would help performance. But it's not, so it's pointless to use it as gpu ram, and it would be better for overall performance if that ram was used by the system instead.
