I just bought Dell S2009W, but my T61 with X3100 video card doesn't support the resolution of 1600X900... :( (I have updated the driver to the latest version). Does anyone have the same problem?

Silly question, I suppose, but are you sure your monitor supports that resolution?

1600x900 is the max res for that screen.

    That's a pretty odd resolution.

In that case, make sure you have up-to-date drivers for your graphics.

fun thing :) High Definition+? international standard? besides that it can't show hdtv sharp or bluray sharp as both 720p and 1080p don't scale well to that resolution, and no tv or movie standard has that res :)

i know they only say 16:9 - the international standard. but it's fun how they state it in a form people could think the screen in any form is useful for any movie playing :)

How did you get it to work? I am thinking of buying a system with an X3100 graphics card and curious if it was a complex work-around.

    thanks much!

one person at dell said it would work. another person said it would not.
