Just for people that have them, notice any extreme heat issues? I had my GFX card overheat the other day, and my room is usually quite cool, but lately its been very warm.

Also do you regularly run at 3.0? or keep it at 2.6. personally i could only see myself OCing it when gaming or doing some sort of encoding.

I had an X9000 in a D630, and I had heat issues only when running at full load for more than 6 hours or so (80*C+)....[The high TDP only comes into play when running the CPU at full load, and if the X7800 came pre-installed, there should be no problem with temps....]
Use a notebook cooler when doing heavy CPU-intensive tasks, and overclock only when you need to, though EIST should drop the frequency down when not under load.... (I had EIST/C1E disabled in the BIOS)

I used to run the CPU at 3.8 GHz when I had to time critical encoding or photo editing, otherwise I had it undervolted to 2.4GHz, and temps would be around 50*C....
+ Clean the heatsink and apply some AS-5 if you can....

OH, I guess Dell limits to 3.2 on the M1730....but mine had a custom bios with a multiplier option upto 20x and the CPU was an ES....!! Using some articlean and arctic silver should help you reduce temps....for both cpu and gpu..!!
