I've just bought an xi 3650. Absolutley love the laptop but it's only got a P7350. I am looking at upgrading it straight away to a P9500 or maybe Q9100. Question is will these be work?, the best processor it ships with is the T9550, I know the xi 3670 has a Q9000. Anyone done this or know if I can stick any P socket cpu in?

    Thanks in advance

A P9500 should fit and works fine with your xi 3650.

    cheers ...

Thanks qhn, I thought a dual core would be fine and I'd definitely prefer a P rather than a T.

Anyone know about a quad core? I assume the latest bios (1.0G) will support one so the only issues I can think of are wattage (I have a 90W adapter) and the size of the heatsink, can anyone help?
