Ive done a few mods to see what gets cooling better. Ill first say last night I played with the comp flat on table, back raised and with cooling pad. Cooling pad was best, back raised was second and flat on table was worst obviously but the flat on table was worst by a LARGE margin. Im talking 8+C.....
Anyway, along with the other mods ive done I have now created a seal between the fans on the computer and the fans on my cooling pad to try and get more air moving trhough the heatsink... It actually took a really long time to get the pieces to fit around the feet on the bottom of the computer so that it would seal well. The CPU fans isnt totally sealed like the GPU side is but it is still much more sealed off without anything.

If you're a real pro you hook up an air conditioner to your laptop: Air conditioner cooling for my notebook *Lots of images*

I thought about doing that but i dont have a window unit to mooch off of and Im not running ducting from my ceiling for it lol. I look at portable AC unit while in Home Depot but they were way too much money for doing something like this.
Awesome set-up this guy has though. -
At the point at which you need a AC cooling solution, you should probably just take a break and actually step outside for a bit hahaha
