Uh, anyone help a guy find some 2.5" HDD rails? I was swapping out an HDD for a SSD, and believe it or not the mounting rail broke on one side.

Without a 2.5" rail the SSD is just sort of... floating. It would have a more solid fit with one, but everywhere I search - All I find is 2.5" to 3.5"

Anyone point me in the right direction? This is becoming frustrating for Price vs. Effort! :p

    Is this from your MSI?

Maybe look for a HD caddy for your system.

    Good luck.

Not owning this book, I am not as familiar, but my G73jh has 2 bays, only one caddy, so for my ssd I used velcro and it has held up for about 6 months now. Doesn't move, no heat, and completely stable. Couple of strips to hold it in, and a couple of pieces folded over at the ends to keep it from moving. Might be worth a try?

Yea, HDD caddys are pretty ridiculously basic relative to other computer parts. Seriously, try pulling a few from old p3 systems and see if they hold it in place.

Have you tried calling MSI directly? Or maybe a reseller of MSI notebooks like Xotic?
