    Got your VISTA already?!

Please share your vista boot time on your laptop here.

Please list your hardware, specially RAM, how many sticks?

My acer with T2050, 1 stick 512M RAM, 7300 graphic takes 1 min 5 sec. to boot, without sidebar.

The boot time should be the moment you press power button till your desktop loaded.

    I use ultimate version.

Well, I haven't got RTM on my I9300 yet, but RC2 took upwards of 2 minutes to boot, with about 15 seconds being POST and GRUB/Vista bootloader load times. Oddly, though, RTM on my new Desktop takes just under 1 minute - a full 20 seconds of which are spent waiting for the BIOS to POST and then waiting on GRUB and the Vista bootloader. So either they did a lot of improvements between RC2 and RTM, or the difference between an 8MB/5,400RPM HD and a 16MB/7,200RPM HD is really that much.

    Desktop specs are in signature; the I9300 has 2GB of DDR2-533, a 1.86GHz Pentium M, and a 5,400RPM SATA HD w/8MB cache.
