Hey, I happen to own a Z81SP, still under warranty until 4-10-07, and I'm planning on getting Splinter Cell Double agent. Well my Z81SP's processor is a 3.0 Ghz (630) and I want a 3.6 Ghz (660).
All the people I'm asking either say it's going to work or it's going to overheat (people I bought it from say it will overheat). I thought about this and have been thinking if the fan over the CPU could be replaced to keep it low it wouldn't overheat or if I got an external fan but I need a straightforward answer from a computer wiz on this product if this is going to work or not.
The other problem is that I don't know if I should really trust the manufacturers because this was an online buy, as said before, is still under warranty
Specs:
Intel Pentium 4 630
1024MB (512 x2) DDR2-533 PC4200 Memory
256MB nVidia 6800 Go PCI-Express
80 Gig harddrive
I will accept any suggestions or other ways if this is possible.

If you want to put in a Pentium 4 660, that will work fine. The Z81SP was offered with a Pentium 4 all the way up to a 670 (3.8GHz).
Read up on your warranty and see if upgrading the processor will void it. Make sure you keep the old processor so if you have to send in the machine, you can swap it back in.
A processor upgrade is not cost effective to increase performance; I would suggest adding another 1GB of RAM first (for a total of 2GB). That will be more helpful in the latest games than anything.
You might want to take some time and look up exactly how much of a performance increase you will get by upgrading the processor from a P4 630 to a 660; Google for benchmarks.
