I live in Canada so most brands recommended by this site are either out of my budget or are just not attainable from retail stores.
I dont want to order online for my external HDD so i came across this external harddrive
its only 100$ CAN and is 640GB

You do know that USB 2.0 is only able to support ~30mbps data transfer. Unless you only want it for storage. What would you be putting on there?

In my honest opinion, it is a great buy. It features a Western Digital 640 GB hard drive for $100. (I personally thought it would be some unknown make!) The enclosure itself is the only draw back. My buddy bought one today so he could put all his movies on it and hook it up to his XBOX 360 (I got to spend some quality time with it while I formatted it to fat32 for him)
The downside to this product is that there is no fan, and the plastic caps on either end of the aluminum are held on by small plastic pegs (2 per cap) that break quite easy! Hint: never drop it! Although i think the EXTRA ventilation we added could'nt hurt it! Oh and it does come with a USB cable, but its very short, 1ft I believe. -
Two months too late
, don't you think ?
