    when i restart my pc i get a strange message which i dont get when i shutdown normally i get this message only when i restart

    the message is "missing operating system" and it requires me to shutdown and open

    i was just wondering why does that happens ???
    its no big deal but still its annoying sometimes
    what could b wrong ???

    Go into the BIOS boot options and make sure your OS drive is at the top of the list.

    Do you have a SD card inserted, CD/DVD, or a secondary drive attached (external flash or HDD)? Also, run msconfig.exe and under the 'Boot' tab make sure that the correct operating system is set as the default.

    This could also be a failing HD, or, HD controller or even RAM acting up. Are you over-clocking the CPU or bus or something equally silly? :p
