    If i add another 1gig on my laptop , will it improve internet performance and download/upload speed??

    My laptop is lenovo t61 with core 2 duo 7300 2.0ghz and 1gb ram

    using vista .

    Since my main task is websurfing, i would like to have a faster internet performance and i'm wondering if another 1gig would help the speed

    It won't improve download and upload speed. It may improve the speed of opening up your browser but your download/upload speed is determined by the speed you're getting from your ISP.

    It should improve performance, but your download/upload speed has to do with your ISP.

    you can optimise your connection for your lan card depending on your broadban connection, i did this with my desktop

    Upgrading your memory, you will notice an overall increase in system performance not internet performance. That being said, this is something you will notice quite a bit. It really helps. so if you have some spare change lying around go for it. Itll save you a few mins every day, and all that time adds up.
