It should be possible...many laptops use screens from the same manufacturer...So if your Aspire 2020 has the same screen manufacturer as the one you will be getting then it should work... The glossy finish is just the change in the surface texture of the laptop, but there might be certain improvements to the screen itself which may have impacted the power usage/consumption of the screen.

    Miner,

This is not true. Even though the LCD's are made by the same manufacturer, the power/interface connectors may be different. Unless the Crystalbrite was an option on the Acer Aspire 2020 series, the LCD may not work. Not only could the connectors be different, but the mounting holes for the LCD may be in the wrong positions. To get around that, one could also take the entire back cover, front bezel and hinges and do a direct swap, but then you also come to a possible problem where the hinges may not match the older unit, therefore maing the whole process useless and expensive.

I wouldn't bother with the upgrade unless all the above has been confirmed to be compatible.

Even if it could work, it would cost much more than it's worth, probably several hundred dollars.
