i have an acer aspire 5315. i just bought an intel core duo 2 t7500 2.20 ghz processor.
it fits in the socket and runs most programs really good, when i open windows media player to listen to music, the audio cuts out.
any ideas?

trying cleaning out your registry....!! did u upgrade from a celeron..??
-
Does audio work fine with other applications?
-
upgrade your BIOS to Version 1.34
that should fix the "bo bo" sound issues as acer called them

some audio runs ok. not all the time.
me and a friend were watching a movie, and the audo would cut out. i would have to stop the movie and restart it.
its hard for me to download anything. i am in iraq right now, and the only internet access i have is at the mwr. we are not supposed to download anything on mwr computers or networks.
i would hate to have to box up the t7500 for 6 months. -
he might also try removing the CPU from the device manager and letting windows redetect it... ya never know that could help....
and i just DL'd and installed V1.94 of the sound drivers... 268 is the chip# for the 5315's
