hi, simple question. i have an FSC amilo xi1546 and i have a spare hardrive slot which i have the funds to fill up. now...i know a few things but i dont want to make the mistake of buying something that will not be compatible with the OTHER hardrive! ive read some nasssty stories about that...now..heres the data sheet for the notebook. i know it uses an SATA hardrive. so, will any of these be viable?

    Wow, nice laptop.

I would take a look at these hard drives.

It is 5400 RPM. If you get two of the same hard drives, you can do RAID (1 or 0). But I suspect you won't be doing this. In that case, install it, and when you boot it up, go into the BIOS (it should detect it) and set it as a slave. Now, your current hard disk should be the Primary Master, your CD/DVD drive should be your Secondary Master, and your new hard disk should be a Slave. Then, install the drivers from the manufacturer's web site in windows, format it, and you have a new hard disk!
