hi, I have a 3 month old Samsung NP300E5C notebook with intel i3-3110m processor & 4 GBs of ram... I would be very much like to upgrade it to i5-3210m processor... my question is do I have to change my motherboard too or just changing the processor will speed up my pc???

You wouldn't need to change the motherboard. But I'm not sure whether the processor is soldered on to the motherboard (Samsung lower end laptops seem to be), so you would have to check. But even if you can, upgrading the CPU might void the warranty.

If you want the laptop to feel faster, then I'd suggest you get an SSD instead. An i3-3110M to i5-3210M isn't that much of a performance increase.

then would changing the motherboard would allow me to take an i7 processor for consideration??? as this notebook has a TDP of 35W, I fear if I choose a processor with higher TDP it will cause the problem of overheating...

I don't see any problem with using the same motherboard, the i3/5/7's of the same generation all use the same socket and should be compatible. The only issue could be that the BIOS isn't compatible, but this usually isn't the case. As you said, the higher TDP of Core i7 quad-core processors can be a problem (unless you stick to dual-core or low power quad-core Core i7), since your laptop probably wasn't designed for higher TDP.

    Assalam Alaykom ^^
Can it respond to an 8+4 gb ram?
Because they said that the maximum ram is 8gb :(
Or that is just because there was no 8gb single ram when it released the laptop..
