ive heard alot of people say amd has nothing on core 2 duo's that maybe true but, im typing this on a p2 233 processor on a desktop so the amd will do wonders for me.plus the amd's price is what made me make my choice of processors. i dont need a absolute top of the line processor i believe your paying for the intel name more than anything. its just like nikes or reebok u spend like 60 dollars on the name and the rest goes into the materials.

anything would be a huge huge upgrade to me right now lol, someone told me in a thread a posted, that there is no reason to get a dv6000z which is the one im getting. with the limited money i have yes there is with the cheaper price of the processor i could upgrade a few things and get a few assories i couldnt get with the core 2 duos.

I agree with ZaZ. The dv6000z looks like a sweet machine.

Honestly if you dont need TOP LINE, the go with the AMD!!

But intel does perform SLIGHTLY better in most/all things but in most application you wouldnt really notice

Looks good. Coming from a P2 223 its not 100% beter, more like a 100X better! I'm using a Turion ML30 and I'm happy. Your getting a way better machine than what I have. Enjoy and congrats on your new toy.

AMD for gaming, Intel for work/multitasking.
