My notebook only has a celeron m 1.5ghz processor. My girlfriend has a dell 1520 inspiron that has a broken screen and dvd/cd drive which she's throwing out.

I was wondering if i could salvage any parts like the dual core intel processor out of it, or anything else. Its much better all round spec than mine.

Thanks for your help. Is it an easy job to swap processor over??

Would it be easier just to replace the screen? You might find some 2nd hand LCD at cheap price.

    cheers ...
