    Hi, i have a dell inspiron 1520, and it only has an analogue input for an external monitor. Well i might get a 22" digital monitor someday, and i wonder if there is an accessory i could buy to convert the signal to digital. I hope that doesnt cost too much.

    If you are speaking of VGA to DVI then there are adapters available that claim they will work, but i have not tried any of them. I've used several adapters that will convert DVI to VGA, but never the other way around. You definitely will not get better quality. At best the quality will remain the same as VGA. Many digital monitors also have VGA ports, so it may be a moot point.

    I know, but and yes i mean VGA-DVI, but i want the best quality possible from my monitor.

    It will more than likely look perfectly fine, but the video quality will not upscale from the vga port :)
