I'm in Dallas. We have Fry's, and that's about it. Do you guys have any Fry's locations down in Houston? They sell every computer component.

brick and mortar, well you can get that at a hardware store ;)

Check out local computer shops in your area, sometimes you can be surprised with the deals you can find there.
Avoid bestbuy/compusa cause they wont have it.
You should look for a microcenter, we have them in New York, not sure about in Texas, but they have everything.

I like your new avatar, even though I know it isnt you :D

yeah we have 2 maybe 3, but unfortunately they don't sell mobile processors or at least that's what a couple of salesmen told me. but i've looked up and down that store and haven't seen mobile processors. i should probably look more. one of the salesmen tried to tell me "why you want one? you can't change processor in laptop." but of course i told him you can. and then he retorts "i don't think you should do it." anyways, besides their omission of mobile processors fry's is awesome.

yeah, i think i might start looking there and the microcenter you mentioned. i think we have at least one. do they have good prices? i avoid bestbuy and compusa as much as possible. i hate being lied to and then pressured even more when you call them out.

and you don't know that. i might be a Gong Li impersonator.

Hmm, good point about the CPU's. I thought they would carry mobile CPU's. What processor, in specific, are you looking for?
