Some new sony, dell, and hp laptops are offering the 2.1 ghz intel t6500. Anybody know any detailed specs on this cpu(l2 cache, fsb, 45nm, tdp)? I couldn't find any information on the internet.

Considering it's not even found on Intel's own Processor Finder, I'd say it's either a typo, or too new for those details.

Considering the minor increase in model number, it likely is going to be just a speed bump over the T6400. Rest of the specs should be similar.

miner is correct, the T6500 has the same specs as the T6400 except with a slightly higher clockspeed; 2.1GHz, 2MB L2, 800MHz FSB. This is yet another one of Intel's 'unofficial' chips; Intel does not announce a lot of budget chips like these so they can sell them at much lower prices to compete with AMD at the low end. All of the 'official' Core 2 Duos have price tags attached to them, but the budget ones like these do not.
Be aware that the unannounced chips like the T6400/T6500 lack some technologies, such as VT (Virtualization).

@wetdog2: They changed it. Now is says VT is NOT enabled in the T6500.
What about ppl who bought laptops with this chip expecting it to have VT?

they are out of luck... or they can try to sue Intel if they have at least a screenshot of the original page promising VT on it )))
