The X1200 is an integrated card, directly stuck to the motherboard. To replace it, you must replace the motherboard.

Any reason you need to replace it? Graphical artifacts? Have you tried reinstalling drivers. Replacing motherboard is a pretty big hassle and should be the last resort.

its just that I am stuck, maybe you remember, the argentinian technician says (upon advice from the chilian specialist for emachines) that all I have to change is LCD cable, fan (which originiated the overburn) and the video card. following advices given here, I looked for a motherboard, but there are not any for this laptop, or maybe one in englang for 399 (what I paid for it in France). So I do not know (reminder, the disk turns on, but screen remain black, even with torch light.) the guy does not know the baking way, does not want to try. Thank you
