    I have a nx9420 hp....

I have a problem, obviously caused by Ati x1600 drivers.

Every time I restart my computer, the windows boot appears, and after that... the screen goes black. I can hear the windows starting, but the display stays completely black.

when I run the safe mode, and uninstall the ati drivers, windows boot normaly.

I've tried installing the original HP drivers (old), the latest unofficial catalyst.... and the symptoms are the same.

I dont know what's going on. I've been working on this pc for a while without any problem...

only thing that I find a possible culprite is SP3 which I installed at about the same time the problem started occuring.
