dont' know where else to put this.

what would be the percentage increase in battery life if i rip a movie to the harddrive rather than play it in the dvd drive? Please give a percentage, as I want to buy a laptop's battery based on whether or not it can play a 3 hour movie.

Yea, it'll result in at least a 10% bonus battery life since the OD is not in use.
