I will be getting a 14" laptop and I would like a separate widescreen LCD monitor so I could work more efficiently while I'm at my dorm. I'm looking for a 19~21" screen that has some real estate but is under $350. Any ideas out there?
For such big screen size, I think 1600x1200 or greater would work out well (Dell's LCD? i heard it's tooo bright though..) but I wasn't able to find them. Lower response time (no ghosting) would be great as I hope to game (just a lil bit of FPS action) using this.
BenQ...Dell...? I don't know much about external LCD monitors since i've been using CRTs all this time, but any tips on which models I should look at would be great.
    Thanks!

I like my 2001FP a lot. Does have a bit of leakage though.

I'll second that. I picked up this monitor from buy.com for $315 shipped and it's fantastic. I was going to buy a Benq or Acer 20" but after reading lots of reviews and comparisons I decided to spend a few extra bucks and get the better monitor. It even got better scores than the NEC that costs 2x as much.
