    im planning on upgrading my wd 500gig 5400 hdd with a seagate momentus xt 500 gig and im planning to use the wd as a storage external drive.

    i was thinking of getting this as the enclosure:

    Amazon.com: Acomdata 2.5" Tango USB/eSATA Hard Drive Enclosure Kit, Obsidian Black (TNGXXXUSE-BLK): Electronics

    and tis as the esata cable:

    Amazon.com: Syba SY-CAB-ESA e-SATA to e-SATA Cable (21-Inch, Black): Electronics

    my question is, are these a good pair of enclosure and cable? is there a better/best choice?

    They are fine. If you like the price go for it. I like NewEgg but that is just me.

    any cable will do.. just have the right length... i'd say the enclousure is allright but if u can find anything better , i would have a look at that too...

    Just make sure you can power it with a powered eSATA port (generally eSATA/USB combo port), or you have another cable that can.
