please rank the best displays. just from reading around the forums, i have for some reason come to the conslusion that the LifeBook A6030 with Color Enahnced Crystal View is the best, followed by the VAIO® VGN-FZ190 CTO with XBRITE-HiColor™. are these the two best? anything better? what comes after these two? how different are these two displays, and how much better or worse are the other displays that you're going to mention?

A lot of people say the Thinkpad with the FlexView display is the best notebook panel. I haven't seen one in real life so I can't comment much about it.

the fujitsu 6030 has one of the brightest screens on the market at 450 nits....i can't think of any other consumer notebook that has that kind of brightness. i have the fujitsu n3530 screen with 300+nits and it's pretty nice. flexviews aren't as bright but have much better viewing angles

Not sure about the best, but my hp dv8000t has a very bright screen with virtually no glare. However, i know that the dell inspiron e1405 has a horrific screen (glossy). It's so amazingly glaring at even slight angles that your eyes literally have to look at a 90 degree angle to the screen just to view it comfortably. It's also very dim compared to my dv8000t. Hopefully Dell's upcoming Inspiron line won't have the same terrible screens.

how do the normal xbrites compare with the normal clear views? and the normal xbrites and clear views still trump the competition, right? and then these are followed by hp, toshiba & i forget the rest?

& how do the normal xbrites and clear views compare to the better glossys of their competetitors (like the ultra brightview of the dv9000)?

The dv9000 with Ultra Brightview has the nicest screen I have ever seen. Simply amazing, just wish they offered it with a higher resolution.
