Which brand do you think makes the best looking notebook?

Sony or Apple for me. Toshibas are okay too.

 

I think I'd go with Apple and Sony as making some of the classiest laptops, although I think Acer and Asus also make some nice looking laptops. I think it also probably depends on what you mean by "best looking" - for example, I've always liked and admired the looks of the ThinkPad, since they are distinctive and the design fits really well with the ThinkPad reputation of quality and durability.

 

Asus wins hands down because they make Sony, Apple, and a whole bunch of other notebooks, not to mention their own Ensemble and BoA models.

I vote for Sharp. Or Averatec. But really, all brands have had ugly notebooks; the "best looking" brand is the one that comes up with eye candies more frequently than eyesores.

I voted acer . But the best looking notebook I have seen is my father in laws dell base system Inspiron B130. Granted it is dells most basic and cheapeast system. But it looks clean and nice. Im not one for flash and all, and the dell fits my ticket well. The reason that I didnt vote dell as the notebook isnt worthy anymore, so I went with the next best thing my acer 5672 it all its plastic glory.

 

I think apple has the nicest design, though I don't really like working with them.

 

yeah looks arent everything, I would hate to have a beautiful piece of hardware and hate use it. Id rather have a pile of poo that works great and I like to use over beauty.

 

I chose the Sony, for their ultraportable Vaio series.

 

I've always preferred the simple elegance of the PowerBook/MacBook. That is, until I laid my eyes on my new Asus V6Va. This V6 is the sexiest machine I've ever seen. Of course, Asus produces both lines, so I'm still "in the family," so to speak.

Apple. IMO nothing matches the MacBook Pro that I have come across.

The new HP/Compaq models(dv2/6/9000) are too good to ignore. I have never fancied Asus or Apple designs.

 

Yeah..the DV2000 is really nice looking

 

I love the professional look of the IBM thinkpads.

 

I think when it comes to style boutique brands tend to be the best and most consistent. Companies like alienware, voodoo and infinity laptops (sorry for the name drop, couldn't resist)

 

Alienware's are sexy..

 

Some people just vote for the notebook they own...

I voted Sony but Apple also looks great.

 

I voted for dell simply because I run an E1505. If I had to give my true vote, it would be Alienware, I just love their new SLI designs. Even though this company has had countless horror stories told about there unreliability, I still think that they are the best looking.

I vote for XXODD. They have really nice notebooks. At the moment their assortiment is very small, but the M570U is more for less.

asus all the way, how can you even compare their sharp and elegant looks, my personal favorites are the w7j and the vij =)

although, in terms of finishes i would have to agree...but i think falcon northwest does the best job in the boutique bizz

 

it's doesn't surprise me at all that Asus wins. They supply the barebones notebooks to Voodoo, which probably do the best paint job/sticker decal work of all notebook companies. (This means they are FAR out of my budget)

 

Sony look so much more better then Asus are u guys joking ..

I voted for fujitsu.
I like the way Fujitsu and Sharp design their laptops.

 

I went with Apple on the assumption that this is 100% based on looks.

If we were talking about any other aspects, they would lose my vote in an instant though.

 

I'd argue we do the best work and at better prices than voodoo and we offer more systems with the latest components compared to falcon who tends to fall behind in notebooks. But when it comes to style we boutiqe brands can't be beat

I have a macbook but i think Sony's VAIO lines are seriously sexy looking.

Ferrari and Lambo? I'm a car lover, but I hate those. Too "dreamy" and overrated. Also definitely overpriced
But back on the original subject, my vote goes to Apple, as much as I would love to lie to myself

 

I just love asus and their laptop. Macbook pro isn't bad esither. I think i just got something for a aluminium case!!

 

Asus has some very classy, professional looking laptops.

I love the slim and sleek design of the new macbook pro, if only I could afford one, even the cheapest stock 15.4", except their out my price range, so I am gonna get a macbook, they look hawt as well.
