    well, since it doesn't even appear on an external monitor, it will most likely be a problem with the gpu. are you sure that the computer is actually running with no picture?

    your GPU is your 6800 nvidia GFX, i think.

    normaly in a laptop you cannont replace a GPU, so i am not sure if you can get it repaired...

    gpu = gfx card

    since you don't get anything on either the LCD or an external monitor, it does sound like the gpu is dead.

    before taking it in and spending any money, you can try opening up the notebook and reseating the gpu or at least taking a look around to see if there is a lot of dust or something and cleaning that out. if the gpu is dead, you will have to replace it either via spare parts from fujitsu or ebay or a specialty shop (online or b&m).

    consider how much a replacement gpu will be and you may just be better off buying a new notebook.

    you will have to get a manual for your noteboook. don't know where you can find that though. also, there is a possiblity that your gpu is soldered to the motherboard. if that is the case, you will have to replace your entire motherboard which will be quite expensive.

    as ejl says, if the gpu is soldered to the motherboard, then it won't work; you will have to buy a new motherboard which, again, is almost definitely not worth it as you can buy a brand new notebook for the same cost (or a little more).

    re seating the gpu simply means taking apart your notebook so you can get to the gpu, removing it from the motherboard and then putting it back (just like you do for RAM).

    google for a manual for your notebook or check out your manufacturer's website. if all else fails, you can contact (call, email) the manufacturer to see if they can send you a manual or if they can point to one online.

    if that fails, you can just start taking the computer apart carefully so you can put it back together. if you are afraid to do so, then get a friend who is computer savvy to do it

    in all honesty, i would recommend against taking it to a shop as i don't think they will be able to fix it without the cost being outrageous.
