I'm pretty sure that's a no, I believe all HP 15" units with a given processor setup use more or less the same bottom section, and frankly I don't think there's enough room unless they make a media bay kit or something to swap out the optical drive for a hard disk. I think all the 15" class notebooks that take 2 HDs are substantially thicker than the DV5T

i see..thanks big mike..just wondering coz i downloaded this manual from hp for the dv5t and it says there dual hard drive which made me think twice as i believe that most 15" only take one hard drive..

    btw..here's the link

    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01550108.pdf

on page 11..it says support for dual hard drives - and it is checked on all systems there..

anyone here tried that already? or if it really is able to have dual hard drive..does the dvdwriter needs to be taken out?

    cheers

Really? I could be wrong, there are some 15" laptops with 2 drives, the dv5ts I've seen didn't appear to have a spot for another drive though.

hp does not know how to make a service manual.
The options say on page 11, that their is support for two hard drives, but on page 26-30 it shows that only one hard drive can be installed.
The system can be configured with two hard drives, but you would have to sacrifice the optical drive to install a hard drive. (You can see this on page 40)

You can only install one hard drive with the current configuration.
You would need a optical drive bay to hard drive adapter to install two hard drives.

One of the few 15 inchers that have dual drives is the Asus G50 series.
