I bought a c90s a long time ago and have struggled to figure it all out. My system freezes often and Vista says it had to recover from a video driver issue. My system will also not run off of the battery alone. What can I do? Any ideas?

Definitely a software problem here. Is this the factory Vista installation? A clean install gone wrong? What happens when you try to run it off battery power? Sounds like a video and/or ACPI driver issue; definitely try reinstalling like chipset or graphics drivers.

Your system may be experiencing a combination of a memory incompatibility issue (from your symptoms mentioned) as well as video card driver problems(are your running a 8600m GT GDDR3?). You may want to visit the ASUS C90S lounge thread and post your specifications regarding your system.
