    after hours of searching the net i decided to ask the forum:
    can i support dual channel memory?
    i have a Toshiba R15-S8222
    crucial says no but i dont trust them

    I saw your post yesterday about the DDR ram running in dual channel and I immediately said that won't work. If it could my old acer with the same intel 855 series of chipset would also have run in dual channel and it couldn't. Check the intel link here for your chipset to see it doesn't support dual channel. Dual channel support for intel notebooks was added with the mobile 915 chipset which your Toshiba from my searching does not use.

    Your notebook is not one of the newest on the market right now so you can trust what crucial.com says to you. The only time I have found errors with their memory scan tool is with the latest technology not with stuff that has been around for a few years.
