HI,
i have a dell D630 and want to know if i can use a VGA-RGB connection to show my screen up on the TV. Or do i need something else?

VGA connects to YPbPR aka Red-White-Red-Green-blue. You are correct.
That will work fine. I do that all the time. -
You can do this, but usually I do this by connecting my s-video out cable to my VCR via the red, white and yellow wires. Than I can see the image on the television.
I do not have any new televisions, but if the TV you have has a VGA port on it, than by all means it should just be a simple wire connection and a push of a button on the TV remote to configure the impout signal.

@mcfaddenator: how do you do that? I have a Dell D630 latitude and a VGA-to-RGB cable, but I do not get any picture on my television.
The OS is Windows Vista, and the driver is the newest DELL nvidia driver.
Can you please tell me how to do this?
