After shopping around (lots), I've come to the same conclusion that I came to years ago... that no matter who has the best displays (Fujitsu, to me), who has the best performance and build quality (probably Asus), who has the best value (Dell), etc., what hasn't changed at all... is that I still think IBM has the best keyboards.

Is there any way to get a similar keyboard into a non-IBM/Lenovo?

If not, are there others that I could at least try?

Are notebook keyboards generally comoddity parts (like CD drives and hard drives) or are most of them proprietary these days?

    Thanks a lot.

They are proprietary in their design. So an IBM keyboard wont fit into the space meant for a Dell keyboard.
