I can not access to bios setup interface. When i reboot the pc and i press the f2 key it asks me for the bios password but after that starts the windows loading. The strange thing is that it seems that he tries to setup the pxe via ethernet. Could this be the result of a bad bios flash? I tried to remove motherboard battery but nothing happened, he remembers the old password(that i know) and the bios interface do not load. How can i fix this? thx

As per forum rules, discussion of measures to bypass security measures such as BIOS passwords are not allowed. If you know the password you should be able to enter it at the time that the computer asks for it, hit enter, and go into BIOS from there. A bad BIOS flash would have bricked the computer (as in entirely non-functional) rather than do something like this.

Sorry for the second thread about this but i think you have misunderstanded. I KNOW the password but after i write it correctly the setup does not load. The pc is an asus k50ab notebook and does this after after a bios flash.

Let's see if we can get an ASUS moderator in here to comment.

Try a blank password. Sometimes that works, but if this is from CMOS corruption you will need to contact ASUS. They sometimes have a master password they can give you if they can confirm ownership.

thanks. The password is correct because if i try to enter another word he tells me that it's incorrect.

You can try reflashing your bios then with winflash. You will need to use a different bios version and use the /nodate option to launch the winflash exe

If it's a K50AB, the download page is here and it has two versions of the BIOS:
ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download K50AB
You can get winflash here:
http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=WinFlash&p=3&s=110&os=&hashedid=n/a
Flash whichever version of the BIOS you aren't currently running.
