i have a weird problem; im using rivatuner 2.09 and shader and mem clocks OC no problem but when i set the core clock and click apply it sets, but as soon as i click "OK" it resets to 475 just before the window closes, and when i go back into that window its at 475...i.e. it wont let me change the value....help?

    i have a ddr2 8600gt

meh..i did something and it allowed me to OC the core...but only once..i think you have to exit and restart rivatuner every time to change the core speed...ill report back

i thought you couldnt overclock on 174.31 using software..only bios?? anyways it overclocks fine using rivatuner, havent gotten the core clock problem solved yet but i do have the core OCd and the memory too....bf2142 plays waaaay smoother now

    565 1150 500 core/shader/memory

overclocking the core doesnt give that much of a performance boost right? compared to memory/shader?

That's happened to me several times (where the values reset when I'm trying to OC). Fortunately each time it happened a new driver was released on laptopvideo2go and after installing a new driver, the OC works again. I also used DriverCleanerPro between my driver switches. Maybe that's what does the trick?
