ok, so everything was going good, then i restart my comp and find out that i cant scroll with my track pad anymore. so i figured it was one of the things i disabled in msconfig. but after looking thru the things, i cant find anything that looks like it would be about a mouse in the startup. any ideas?

Good that you got it fixed. But usually you could just go to the control panel > mouse settings and make sure that the option is selected. Faster and easier than a restore or driver reinstall :)
