    celeron m 520 or pentium dual core t2080? which is faster

    ... :s it appears the celeron m 520 runs on the merom-1024 core which is evidently a core 2 like chip with half the l2 cache. Whereas the pentium dual core t2080 is slightly faster in hertz (1.73 vs 1.6). It's using the older Yonah core(need verification on this).

    it seems to me the celeron m 520 would be faster. :s

    NEVERMIND. Celeron M's are single core. I can't see where to delete this thread. :D

    Typically a dual core processor will exceed the performance of a single core based processor, regardless of their architecture.
