    hi !

i have an MSI GX680 laptop, its been 3 years old my laptop doing fine.
recently my gpu cant handle any program anymore , every 3 minute got a TDR error and "display driver stopped responding".
i've tried all possible fix all over the internet but none of them is work for me(TdrDelay, Power Management, Physx, Adaptive, clean install driver, tried different driver), and im conclude that my problem is defected GPU .

my question is can i change my GPU into HD Mobility 5870?
i see previous version of my laptop using HD Mobility 5870 ( MSI Global - Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Motherboard, Graphics and more)
am i need to update the BIOS to change the GPU?

lastly here's the shop link( Aliexpress.com : Buy Mobility HD5870 HD 5870 1GB DDR5 DX 11 MXM 3.0b MXMB MXM3 MXM3.0 VGA card for GX640/GX740/GT660/GT663/GX660/GT680/GT683/GX680 from Reliable card holder suppliers on Nicole Kyong's solutions)

No idea for sure, but your model of laptop is listed as compatible, right?
