unfortunately acetone bottle fall on my lenovo laptop's surface. i have cleaned the black coloured area near the keyboard. i have seen the surface lost its glare ... what can i do to polish the surface back??

What did you use to clean? But likely nothing, sorry.

i used wet cloth to clean the surface

A mild detergent mixed with tepid (warm) water. For example dish washing soap. Mixed 1/2 tsp per liter. This would only work if there is acetone residue left on it. But I suspect the acetone clouded because it ate away the finish.

So sorry to hear about the spill but the surface damage may be permanent. You do have the option of trying to find the damaged parts online from a salvage machine on ebay or even from the numerous (assuming its a thinkpad) parts suppliers online also. Short of that I don't think there is anything that would return it to its original luster without causing further damage. If you do find something do tell, it may come in handy for the rest of us just in case.
