i will be getting my y580 tommorow as well as my crucial m4 256GB mSata SSD. i want to install my SSD ( not sure how ) and clone the HDD onto it. I will be using the SSD as my main drive since it is quite large and I would like to format the HDD after. Is there any software i could use for this or do i just copy + paste ? Also after that i would like to create a backup of the OS and main files on the HDD as well , should i create a seperate partition or .. . . and how to do this :D

plug in your ssd, msata etc and install the drivers on your hdd. if its windows 7 or 8.. do a windows 7 file recovery (its called that in 8 as well) and chose to do a system image backup as well as file. then once its done on an external drive, reopen windows 7 file recovery and chose recover from image. select the ssd and restore to it.. try it out before you wipe your hdd.
