    Hi,
    I own a compaq presario 1700EA and it has been working fine. Today I switched it on got a black screen and 3 beeps (fans lights etc all working) and nothing happens after that...

    All you can really do is reseat the RAM. Check for beep codes on google, but you may have to get it repaired at a service center.
