I don't really know if i am posting this in the right section. Anyway, as advised by many people, i decided to buy a can of compressed air to clean my laptop fan.

I searched online and i came across compressed gas. Is it the same thing? Will it damage my laptop?

Also if anyone can advise a cheap good quality type of compressed air would be great.

    Thank you

The compressed air can from Wal-Mart works fine. It's under $5.

Compressed "air" cans often do not contain air, but some light hydrocarbon, it is written somewhere in the fine print. Any compressed air/gas can will do.

Compressed "air" from WalMart is actually a form of Refrigerant quite similar to what is used in refrigerators and automotive air conditioner units. It is used because it lacks the ability to carry moisture. I've used an air compressor on electronics before, as long as it's not very powerful.
