hello! i'm in college right now and i'm in need of a tv. instead of having to buy a very large, $100+ standard tv for my dorm, i figured i'd go ahead and use my 17 in flat screen dell monitor thats at home. does anyone know how i should go about doing this? suggestions are welcome! i tried googling it, but i didn't find much. please help! thanks to all those who reply, in advance.

you need a TV tuner card and an antenna. !7 is way too small for TV. get a cheap 20inch widescreen

17" is not small...if you use it in a small room...its the same size as small TVs...if you have a larger room (more than 10-12m2) you will need something larger, even larger than 20".

i was looking at something similar! thanks. newegg is kind of expensive with their shipping to hawaii though ($20+???).

17 inches is perfect for my dorm room.... it'll sit perfectly on my icebox.

thanks again for the suggestions. if there are cheaper tvboxes or something similar, please let me know!
