    computer wont turn on

    To start out i got 2 gb of ram for christmas. I tried installing them and they were not compatible with my hp laptop so i put the old ones back in and it worked fine again. I then tried installing a game but the menu kinda locked up so i restarted my computer and usually when i restart it, it turns off then powers back up within a couple seconds, but this time it didnt. Now it wont even turn on and when i plug the ac in, the usual light that lights up doesnt even light up. Does anyone know what happend and if i can fix it by myself or am i going to have to send it in (which i really cant afford to because i start college again next week)?
