    confused about RAM upgrade on V4000

    I am very confused about what to get to upgrade my ram on my compaq v4000. I read the forum and I see people adding 2gigs of ram but I go to crucial.com and it states I should only go to 1gig. Why is this? Also I am no very computer savy and have been looking at newegg.com and there is to many option. Please help me with what is the best option for my compter would be. Thanks

    it should be able to take 2 sticks of 1 GB each as the largest capacity.

    i'm not sure why/what crucial means. can you maybe cut and paste the language you're talking about ?

    I got two sticks of them and they work great. They were easy to install too.

    If you are not going to play games you only need one 1GB stick otherwise get two. I play BF2 and Halo and I can really see a performance increase.
