Plan to use it for a long time, and dv4t-1300 CTO runs hot, especially on left hand palm side. in addition, downloaded RTM x64 bit windows 7, therefore, want to do some update to 1) cool down 2) runs better.

    original build is p8700, 250 hitachi hdd, 2 gb ram + G 105 M

plan to update 320 7200 rpm WD HDD (newegg is offering 15% off HDD, expired on the 16th. Therefore, i think it's a fine timing to do some update.) by the way, compare hitachi with WD, does WD do a "better" job on less heating?? I really want my dv4t runs cool withouth using cooling pad (right now, i can't even put it on my knee~~it "burns"~ (no gaming)

I also want to upgrade to 4 GB ocz dual chan memory. (by the way, any suggestion for better ram?? )

    cost me about $130

Thanks for your advice, I appreciate any of your comments, thanks!

If you want performance, an SSD is the way to go. Do you need 320GB internal? The Indilinx based SSD's look to be coming down in price pretty quickly, so if you don't need all the space, 64GB may be a good upgrade.
