hey guys I have a dilemma right now.

ok right now i can either buy a 256gb ssd for under 200 but it is between these two drives and need help deciding which one would be better.

I can get a crucial m4 256gb for $100, new from a local computer shop
or I can get a samsung 830 256gb for 160 new, from the same place

should i just save myself the 60 and get the m4 or is the samsung 830 worth the extra $60 usd.

and is $100 an amazing deal for the m4?

    Wow, 100$ for the 256GB M4, can i buy 2 more. ;)

In the end it's up to you, the M4 has lower power consumption, but is a tad slower than the 830 (not that you'll notice it). The 830 has a software toolbox which is nice though. For a 60$ difference, i'd go with the M4.

I've never seen a 256 GB M4 for that cheap, it is probably refurbished from Crucial, only way to get an SSD that cheap (we had like 120 GB Corsair Force 2 drives for like 50 bucks). Honestly I'd go with the Samsung 830, I have yet to see the 830 series have an issue compared to the numerous issues the M4 has developed, but at least Crucial finds a problem and fixes it pretty fast.

I have both M4 and 830 in my desktop and laptop, and both of them are working great that you won't notice the difference for regular use.
