It will make no differance in everyday tasks. For benchmarking with CPU intensive applications the T7400 will be about 5% faster.

Games will show no differance when playing. There might be a slight improvment in bechmarks but nothing that you will be able to see or feel yourself. Adobe Illustrator will be the same. The T7400 will run faster but you wont notice it because it will be split seconds faster.

Get the T7200! (unless the T7400 has the same price somehow)

As long you customize with a decent, high-end GPU, the CPU won't really matter so much. just go with the cheaper option. :) A 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo is quite powerful, and most people greatly over estimate the amount of processing power they need.

I would simply get the T7200 - you are not going to notice the difference between it and the T7400 as noted. It is not worth even close to the upgrade price.
